Carl Lindell Inboden, 78, of Knoxville, TN, formerly of West Frankfort, died Monday, June 8, 2009 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2009 at Meredith-Waddell Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. John Howatt will officiate. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery at Paulton, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Masonic services will be conducted by the Herrin’s Prairie Masonic Lodge # 693 at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Inboden retired from Ford Motor Company after 19 years as a body and fender assemblyman.
He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member and with Herrin's Prairie Masonic Lodge # 693. He had also formerly been a member of the Ainad Shrine and was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps.
He was born April 18, 1931 in Marion, IL to William Everett and Bessie Paulina (Gogue) Inboden.
Surviving are, son and daughter-in-law, Carl R. and Jennifer Inboden of Knoxville, TN; three grandchildren, Kristine Inboden of Knoxville, TN, Jessica Inboden of Huntsville, AL and Charles Inboden of Knoxville, TN; one great granddaughter, Emmalynn Inboden;
sister, Gladys P. Cushway of Herrin; two brothers, Rev. Robert Inboden of Herrin and William D. 'Bill' Inboden of Lansing, IL and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
