Louise Vineyard, 63, of Herrin, died 3:27 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2009 at the Herrin Hospital.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009 at Meredith-Waddell Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Michael Tetmeyer will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at Pittsburg, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 31, 2009 Monday at the funeral home. The preferred form of remembrance is memorial donations to the First Pentecostal Church of Herrin, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Mrs. Vineyard was an active member of the First Pentecostal Church in Herrin and was a former volunteer at the Herrin Hospital.
She was born February 17, 1946 in Pittsburg, IL to Lowell and Betty June (Arnold) Davis.
Louise was united in marriage with George R. Vineyard on August 6, 1966 in Herrin, IL. He preceded her in death on July 7, 2000.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. George M. and Linda K. Vineyard of Carbondale; daughter, Summer Johnson of Johnston City; three grandchildren, Kyla Tolbert, Gabrielle Vineyard and Spencer Vineyard; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Norma and Doug Bilbrey of Cookeville, TN, Joyce and Rick Ealey of Benton; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Lowell E. and Jo E. Davis of West Frankfort, Everett E. 'Dee' Davis of West Frankfort, several nieces and nephews and special friends and neighbors, Verna and Carl Reynolds of Herrin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a brother, Tom Davis.
