Obituary for Michael Cole Gould

Michael C. “Goo” Gould, 34, passed away March 27, 2018 at his residence in Cambria.

Goo was a coal miner for Prairie State Coal Mine in Coulterville. He attended the Herrin Church of Christ.

Goo was born April 27, 1983 in Carbondale to Michael and Donetta (Zimmerman) Gould.
Surviving are his parents, Michael and Donetta Gould of Energy, IL; Wife, Lesley Gould of ; son, Jonathan Aaron Schull; step-daughter, Theresa Pender; grandparents, Gertrude “GiGi” Gould and Donnie Lee & Darlene Zimmerman; three aunts, Brenda & Bob Rea, Anita Kay & Roger Craig, and Dana Sue & Darren Portell; and cousins, Scarlette & Kenny Lyons, Hilary & Paul Remm, Jessica Harmon, Rachael Craig, McKinna Portell, McKade Portell, McLane Portell, Jeremy Zimmerman, and Daman Sink.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Valgene Gould and uncle, Donnie Eugene Zimmerman.

A visitation in his memory will be from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Meredith-Waddell Funeral Home in Herrin. In Lieu of flowers, the family has request donations be made to The Lighthouse Shelter, 1101 North Madison Street, Marion, IL 62959, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
